Jose's neck on the line? Mourinho dons a SNOOD during Champions League tie with United

Jose Mourinho was hailed as a style icon during his time with Chelsea, but the special one may have turned off a few of his admirers with his latest choice of neckwear.
Never one to be accused of having a big head, the Real Madrid boss wore a snood to keep his neck cosy as he watched his side draw 1-1 with Manchester United in the Champions League.
FIFA banned snoods for safety reasons after they began to crop up in the Premier League during the 2010-11 season but it seems Mourinho is keen to bring them back in to fashion.

The Portuguese may also have to endure some ribbing from his opposite number Sir Alex Ferguson after tonight's match at the Bernabeu.

The United manager famously banned his players from donning snoods during matches declaring that they were for 'powder puffs.'

Manchester City stars Mario Balotelli, Samir Nasri and Carlos Tevez were among the early proponents of the snood and received plenty of stick for 'having gone soft' before they were eventually banned.
FIFA president Sepp Blatter said at the time: ‘A snood is not part of the equipment and it can be dangerous, even like hanging somebody. The decision was unanimous. There was not even a discussion because this is not part of the uniform.'
