He may be working hard on the training ground to restore maximum levels of fitness for a possible Paris Saint-Germain debut at Sochaux on Sunday evening.
But off the field, David Beckham is enjoying the height of luxury in a £14,500-a-night hotel suite just a stone's throw from the Elysee Palace in the heart of the French capital.
The former England captain has checked in to the 3,475 sq ft Imperial Suite at the five-star Le Bristol hotel on the fashionable Faubourg Saint-Honore.

PSG have given him a £26,000-a-month hotel budget - after the 37-year-old decided to donate his £700,000-a-month salary to a Parisian children's charity - and Becks has wasted no time in reserving one of the finest rooms in Paris.
But what will he get for his money?
Capable of accommodating three adults, or two adults and one child, the Imperial Suite boasts a kitchen, three marble bathrooms, a dining room and bedrooms with panoramic views of the city.
The dining area can accommodate 12 people, so Beckham could invite all of his teammates to be served the delicious delicacies of resident chef Eric Frechon, who has three Michelin stars.
The room overlooks the hotel's traditional French-style gardens, with al fresco dining areas and ornate fountains.

Sumptuous: The suite boasts spectacular views of Paris and is decorated with the finest antique furniture from prestigious French makers

The suite's sitting room is fitted out to the highest standards, with furniture from 18th-century-inspired maker Taillardat and upholstery by Parisian firm Manuel Canovas.
The main bedroom affords wonderful views over his new home city and is decorated along a floral theme by Canovas and Veraseta.
It has an adjoining sitting area, walk-in wardrobe and large dressing room, which will certainly please wife Victoria.
A second bedroom, which could possibly be used by the kids, is decorated with antique paintings and prints.
Both have 270 sq ft bathrooms made of pink Aurora marble and are equipped with a steam shower and bath to create a private spa feel - perfect for Beckham to relax after a hard day of practising his crosses and set-pieces.

Although PSG will no doubt have him on a strict diet, he can indulge in some of the best cooking in France under the same roof.
Chef Frechon, 50, is a multi-award-winning chef who received the prestigious third Michelin Star in March 2009 and was awarded 'Chef of the Year' by 'Le Chef' magazine the same year.
He describes his cuisine as an evolution on traditional French cooking.
Dishes on the menu in the hotel's restaurant at present include 'Bresse farm hen poached in a bladder' for £220 between two people and 'Milk-fed saddle of lamb' for £84.
There is also a selection of speciality seafood dishes, including 'Blue Lobster' for £90 and 'Sand Sole' for the same price.

There is a £110 three-course set menu available too, which has cherry-picked some of the best options from the main menu.
The hotel's bar styles itself as one of the trendiest in Paris, with a nightly contemporary art appreciation programme with a new theme every month.
While on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, resident DJs spin a selection of music.
Le Bristol is located just a short walk from the Champs-Elysees and the Place de la Concorde.
